Waterjet cutting is capable of cutting many materials and thicknesses, ranging from thin glass to ceramic and stone. It is a precise, economical method for cutting a variety of materials.
Since pressurized water is used as the cutting agent, no heat is produced during the cutting process. This makes the waterjet a highly versatile machine, able to cut certain materials that plasma & laser cutters cannot. Waterjet cutting is particularly useful for delicate materials like thin glass. Waterjet cutting is generally more accurate and safer than lasers, plasma, pulsed lasers, and gas flame cutting.
Additionally, very little fixturing is required with waterjet cutting. Most CNC machines require lengthy set-ups and fixture preparation, which the waterjet simply doesn’t require. This saves on labor costs, which we pass on directly to the customer––you.
With waterjet cutting, nesting software also efficiently utilizes the maximum surface area of a sheet material, which results in more parts being produced per sheet of material used. This creates further savings––which we pass on directly to our customers.
